Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for SAM2 locations
On 20th February, the revised Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), covering all 14 sites, was formally approved by Norfolk County Council. It came into effect following the Council’s March meeting (minute 25.43). An initial relocation of the SAM2 device had been based on the previous MOU; this was rectified on 26th February 2025.
Owing to extensive roadworks in and around Surlingham, the SAM2 deployment has not followed the agreed MOU sequence:
- 3rd March – Installed on School Lane due to the closure of Mill Road
- 31st March – Positioned on School Lane, facing south
- 28th April – Unable to access Walnut Hill (Sites 5 and 6) and Bramerton Road, Surlingham Lodge (Sites 7 and 8) due to City Fibre works. The Green (Sites 9 and 10) was also missed owing to a water leak. The device was instead placed on The Street (Site 11)
- 23rd May – SAM2 reversed at Site 12
- 20th June – Relocated to Bramerton Road, Hill Farm House (Site 13)
